As much as I enjoyed Livejournal, I don't think it quite accomplished what I wanted, and I've had this domain name (digitalmeandering.com) lying around now for a while and decided it was time to put it to some use. Randomness abound!
So quite possibly the strangest thing I've encountered in a long while.. I was looking around and cleaning up my hard drive when I noticed three folders with apperently random names but with what looked to be the same content. In each folder were two files innocous files: "spcustom.dll", "update.exe".

Warning: there is no cheese to go with my whine
There are times when I really like where I work, it's a small group, interesting people, they support 'growing my skillset'.. and then there's yesterday/this morning.
Worked from 7am till 4pm, came home for dinner went back to work at 9pm and was there until I got home at 6am.
Yay for staying up 24hrs so that you can pull a 18hr work day. -
Another Random Gadget For The Day!
This one isn't as cool looking as the bamboo keyboard, but it sure does look strange. So now, without further delay, I give you the Designer Appliances Vertical Ergonomic Mouse! It looks more like an oddly shaped dorsal fin, but who am I to judge. ;)

Anne Rice, I've read just about every novel she's written (aside from her forays into the softcore adult field). While my personal favorite books of hers haven't been the Vampire or Mayfair Witches stories, I was still rather surprised when I read that she has 'found the lord' and will "from now on ... write only for the Lord."
