To the Barbican for the mucky exhibition, Seduced. It's very eclectic. The Greek/Roman stuff and the Aubrey Beardsleys I'd seen before but I was less familiar with the stuff from Japan, China and India. Work has been very difficult lately- everyone on their summer holidays. The worst thing about being in charge is that you get all the problems forwarded to you- meeting halls that have been double-booked, barefaced frauds trying to get multiple accounts with which to steal extra reggae CDs. I am on holiday for two weeks. For so long I've been waiting for this date to come along and, predictably, now it's here that empty, burnt-out, Bill Murray feeling dominates. So, we did go to Brighton for the bank holiday weekend and true to Michael Fish's word, it did piss it down non-stop.
