The closest thing we have to Crispers is Wheat Thins, which are one of my go-to snacks, but they too come in a smallish package. They're just regular squares, though, not squiggles. Worse, there are only two known flavors, plain and ranch. Strangely, they used to be called Wheatables, and in those days they WERE squiggles, and they had LOTS more flavors (well, like four).
So it sounds like the solution needs to be: squiggle shape, larger quantity, and a Pringles-like variety of flavors.
Okay here's the thing about Wheat Thins. I LOVE Wheat Thins, they were also one of my go-to snacks growing up. But they are 100% cracker. They are very wheat-y too, which is not a complaint but just an observation that they are in full cracker mode both in flavour and texture. When Crispers say "part chip, part cracker" they are not fucking around! They are not fully a chip, but not fully a cracker - they're a delightful combo of both and soooo addictive. I actually didn't realize they were exclusively Canadian. They're pretty big in airports here because they come in snack size. I'm glad to hear Wheat Thins have expanded to ranch at least!
I also remember eating "Vegetable Thins", which I assume are the sister cracker and presented as "healthy", kinda like Sun Chips.
Huh, interesting--I'll have to look for those next time I'm across the border. I do wish they'd at least bring back the old Wheatables. That tilde shape of the Crispers brings back many childhood memories of holiday snack spreads!
