I find that when I run and walk, I need to break up the running chunks with walking - not because I feel wear and tear at the time, but because when I don't do it that way, my knees hurt more later. So, for example, I would run for 5 minutes, walk for 2 or 3, then repeat for a while. You're inspiring me to start again!
