Yesterday I used some of our very first batch of compost to plant a potted tree. It was exciting to actually take some dirt that had once been grass on our lawn and the peels from our bananas and then watch it turn to rich soil over a period of time.

Composting rocks!

Damn. Is there such a thing as eating too much fruit? Because I sure eat a hella lot of it.

I can't decide what to make for dinner tonight:

baked tofu ontop of a ginormous amount of greens

or

raw crepes (basically dehydrated banana, and a nut based filling) with a large side of watermelon?

I'm still full from the raw brownies I made so I'm thinking crepes!

During the day we usually put our bunnies in a bunny run area where they can run around and play. Today when I got home I saw Sedona laying on Kababs head. Not unusual however I noticed that Kaibab was not moving at all. Turns out she died sometime during the day ( Read more... )

It is a pain in the ass not having an internet connection. Especially when you have an online class. My computer at work is so fucking slow that it is painful to do any type of research on it at all. Plus all the good sites (such as this one, VB, etc) are blocked ( Read more... )
