Looks like I'll be running Calico sooner than I thought.

The 30k that is, I'm not trained enough for a 50k (31 miles).

All I had to do was mention in passing that I wanted to run this next year and people jumped on board. I love my running club. :)

It is only 18 miles but I bet it will be tough because of the hills. I'm looking forward to it!

Dammit. I saw another race I want to do, the Calico 30k and 50k trail runs.

How cool would it be to start and finish in a ghost town? And you get to run in the beautiful mountain desert in between with no traffic, cars, or buildings ruinning your view.

10,051 people started the race.

Only 8,000 finishers. That is a lot of drop outs.

I have a serious case of the post marathon blahs.

Know what the cure is for that? Run another one. Despite my promise to myself at mile 25 that I would never do this to myself again, I am already wanting to sign up for next years LV.

I'm a little worried about tomorrow. The marathon starts at 6am and the low that morning is 30 degrees. Plus weather reports are indicating 20 - 30mph winds.

We are used to running in 90-100 degree weather, not 30. I don't have running clothes designed for the freezing and the wind.

6 days until the Las Vegas Marathon. It will be my 5th marathon.

I'm just not sure about leaving our dog in our back area for a couple of days. The longest we've left him alone is 12 hours I think. I worry that he'll get bored and somehow find a way out of our area. Or he will get depressed or something. Yes, I'm a dork.
