I've been learning to lace knit. I'm making a wrap out of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for my Gran's 80th (and being me, I'm going to have to knit on holiday and just know I'll regret the yarn choice.
It's based on Branching Out from Knitty, but I trebled the pattern to make a wrap rather than a scarf.

Wow well done, I'm sure your gran is going to love it, It looks quite cosy already and it's not even off the needles!

That is just lovely. Where did you get the pattern from?

Have fun in India. I've wanted to go there forever and a day, and now I'm getting into bollywood movies and its just making me want to go even more!

I messed around with the gauges and trebled the pattern. It's going really well though.

Oh, you should try to go one day. This is my second trip - I'm so excited. Only 12 hours to go and I'll be on that plane.

wow, I always looked at that pattern and was like eh, too fluffy/girly for me, but it looks really nice with a different yarn and guage!

Oh that's a great idea to turn that scarf into a wrap. I made that scarf last year and no wonder that pattern looked familiar! :) Nice work!
