Thank you! I've been meaning to post photos for ages.
Good sock pattern knowledge. Yup, it's Hedera, with a few missing holes because I insist on fudging rather than unknitting. I decided to do it on a whim last week and my word, it's addictive. I can see why you like it so much. Crochetme has a pattern for a crochet sock, I may end up trying that.

It's a really simple pattern - worth trying and it knits up really fast.
My Gran wrote me a lovely letter, so I think she appreciated the present. My first ever lace knitting!
