*sigh* So I understand the LJ servers have finally moved to Russia, and now we're needing to agree to a new TOS just in order to get into our accounts. Given the general... atmosphere of Russia at this point in time, I'm finding myself very uncomfortable with this turn of events ( Read more... )

*hugs* I'm still here, still reading, but the more quiet it gets, the less inclined I am to post. But at the same time, I don't want to leave. This was where my active fannish life started.

I've exported my journal over to DW, but not done anything else over there yet. It doesn't feel the same, and it feels like it'd be so awkward to try to start up again over there even if a lot of the people I know/knew here are over there. Not sure if that makes sense.

Exported too, and made a genuine effort a while back to start posting more, to get back into it. But it just feels off somehow, and all it really does is make me miss how it once was and the people I once knew even more.

I'm still here, but have backed up my journal and my communities on DW. Sadly images aren't part of the import and neither is embedded video, so the result is lacking. Memories don't come over by importing either. This makes several great LJ-archives unfit for DW-backup. ;_;

I don't think I'll really move over until I see them actually start removing slash, so I'll be here for now. Besides, I have continued to build my f-list as people have fallen off, so I still have an active f-list. It's not the same people as when I started, but that happens in life outside social media too, so I'm not that put down by it. I guess you have to consciously decide which way you want to go: rebuild and be happy about it or see LJ as a bittersweet memory.

I'd love to see your posts again, but you have to decide for yourself. And sometimes life decides for us.

I'm still here. And while I did use the other site mostly as back-up, I don't trust the current geo-political climate either. So I have started making a few general posts over there as well, just so people can see me better.

*hugs*
