Thanks for the advance notice on the next book. I requested both the paper and ebook version from my library since both have a waiting list - now they can race each other.

Have you read any/all the HP books? All of them, most of them multiple times.
Do you have a favourite book? Prisoner of Azkaban, mainly because I adore Remus and Sirius, and I loved learning about the Patronus Charm. It still always gets me in the feels when I think about Harry's being a stag to represent his father <3 Order of the Phoenix is a close second, though, mainly because I absolutely adore Umbridge as a villain. I never really got on board with Voldemort, to be honest. He just didn't feel real. But Umbridge? I've met people like her, and they're terrifying. She was the best antagonist of the series for me, and she made the book awesome.
Who are your favourite characters? Severus Snape, Luna Lovegood, Hermione Granger, Minerva McGonagall, and Dolores Umbridge.
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? I really dislike Albus Dumbledore, but I find him an interesting character study. He's a good example of people who "sacrifice" for the "greater good" but end up doing more harm than good in the end.

I really dislike Dumbldore, it is always lovely when I find others who feel the same.

Ooh, I sort of blanked on prisoner of Azkaban while writing mine :P And OMGYES, Sirius and Remus! Love those two together.

Umbridge, omg. I knew a teacher who was a bit like her. Totally agreed, scary as hell.

I totally agree that Umbridge is scarier than Voldemort. There's something terrifying about how realistically awful she was to Harry and the others. I love when things in the fantasy/supernatural genre use things that happen in our real lives to kind of ground the drama.

There was a scrapped epilogue scene with Dudley having a magical child? Has there been fanfic about this? Because OMG, that's awesome!!

Do you have a favourite book? Chamber of Secrets/Prisoner of Azkaban. CoS is perfect because it gives a wonderful view of what Hogwarts used to be and who Voldemort really is. and PoA is a fascinating dive into how corrupt and poorly managed the wizarding world really is.
Who are your favourite characters? (fanon)Draco, Hermione, Harry, Luna
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? Snape, there is just so much back story there that is just ripe for fanfic, but everyone seems to turn him into a misunderstood woobie.
Do you have a favourite scene? Pretty much everytime Harry is a snarky little shit to those around him.
Anything else you wanna ramble about? I've never actually seen all the movies :( They differed too much from the book for me to enjoy, sometimes that makes me feel bad.

I love your Flemeth sig. Are you planning on playing Inquisition?

Oh heck yes. Unfortunately it comes out about the same time as the new WoW expansion so I'm not sure when I'll get to play it :(

Ah, I don't play WoW - currently I am playing Destiny (when I can steal the ps3 from my kid) and it is freaking amazing. I am seriously excited about Inquisition though and hope they don't mess it up like ME3. Are you planning on playing Witcher 3 or Battleborn?

Have you read any/all the HP books? Yes.
Do you have a favourite book? I love the first four books equally, and am less thrilled with the later ones but I can't really say I have a favourite.
Who are your favourite characters? The Malfoys, Snape (even though he is a total ass in canon), Luna Lovegood,
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? I really can't stand Dumbledore. He manipulated people for his vision of the greater good allthewhile saying he cared. Also Marge and the Dursleys are a waste of space as is Fletcher and I wasn't to thrilled with Remus toward the end there either.
Do you have a favourite scene? I will always love the first scene at the zoo when Harry talks to the snake and lets it lose.
Anything else you wanna ramble about? There is so many of the characters that were left unexplored, things done that were not fully explained so I have a tendency to enjoy the fics over the books these days. (Mostly because the though of Harry dating/marring a girl who looks so much like him mum ( ... )

The first four books do have a vastly different tone from the later three. I think that's mostly because Harry's still a kid and Rowling couldn't write that much dark scary stuff.

OMG, the snake! Nearly forgot that one :P

The later three really had me wtfing all over the place. I especially couldn't stand all the 'golden trio' stuff when the all left Harry ALONE on Dumbledore's orders. That just really turned me off right from the start. Honestly, I'd already been hating on Ron since GoF, but Hermione couldn't write a letter? I mean she's a muggle born, it should have been her first thought.

The last three books were quite crazy. And very different from what we were used to with Harry Potter. And yeah, Hermione? You're smart. Use your smarts.
