Have you read any/all the HP books? About half the series. We read until we learned Dumbledore's fate and never had the heart to finish.

Do you have a favourite book? Probably the first one. Each further edition seemed to get darker and longer.

Who are your favourite characters? Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape although I do love the trio as well and Hedwig and the other animals, of course, just not as much as those three

Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? Voldemort, Draco . . . Really, Rowling didn't create a poor character. I can give her that; she just had too much of a knack for destroying my favorites.

Do you have a favourite scene? Just about anything with Hagrid, and the early moments between Harry and Dumbledore

Anything else you wanna ramble about? Not really. I do enjoy the HP characters, especially my main three (my favorite pairing is one little loved -- Dumbledore/Snape); I'm just not as in love with the fandom as many folks are.

I would have picked the first as my favourite too, but I *really* liked Chamber of Secrets. I think it was because of Ginny :D And I concur on the darker + longer thing.

Have you read any/all the HP books?Yup
Do you have a favourite book?Tied Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows
Who are your favourite characters? McGonagall, Neville, Hermione, Harry, and Sirius
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway?Bellatrix, Snape, sometimes Remus (I have mixed feelings on him)
Do you have a favourite scene?Graveyard scene in GOF, Forbidden Forest scene in DH and the leadup to it
Anything else you wanna ramble about? These books were my first fandom. As an adult I can see more of the weaknesses, especially in terms of inconsistent characterization, but I still love them. And this is still my favorite fandom to read fics for.

That Forbidden Forest scene in DH was really, really cool. Harry seeing his family all in one place for the first time is really beautiful.

I only started reading HP fanfiction in the last couple of years, more this year than usual - I think the HP fandom probably has the best and long novels that I quite like. :)

Have you read any/all the HP books? I have! I'm actually re-reading the whole series now. (It's been a few years...)
Do you have a favourite book? I love Prisoner of Azkaban and Deathly Hallows a lot-through PoA just a little bit more. Less death, and all that...
Who are your favourite characters? Oh god. Lily (Evans), Ron, Draco, all the Weasleys. Dean and Seamus both have a special place in my heart as well.
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? Uh, Snape, probably. And Dumbledore. And Trelawny.
Do you have a favourite scene? The Tale of the Three Brothers. To be fair, while I really did love it in the book, how they portrayed it in the movie made it even more beautiful.
Anything else you wanna ramble about? My favorite, favorite thing about the transition from the early books to the later books, is how we get the transition from obsession with the father to the mother, in a few characters, though I'm more focused on Harry (and a little bit of Draco). I just find it fascinating that most of the ( ... )

I agree about Trelawney. I don't think about her much - prophecies in general make me lose interest. But she is interesting, I'll give her that :)

That is such a great point about the focus on James then Lily. I remember being so excited to learn more about her. I also really liked how in the beginning Harry heard nothing but good things about his father but towards the end of the series, he learned some negative things about him. (Like the way he bullied Snape.) It fits so well with thinking your parents are perfect when you're young then learning they're not when you're older and accepting that that is okay too.

Have you read any/all the HP books? Yep!
Do you have a favourite book? Chamber of Secrets. For the deleted scenes in the movie, and the general settling in and relaxed but still really cool and supernatural atmosphere.
Who are your favourite characters? Draco Malfoy. Hermione Granger. Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger. Yes, I ship them. Yes, it's illogical. No, I don't care :D
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? I have seriously mixed feelings about Snape. I mean, in the end, he's a good guy, he has a really snazzy backstory, but he's such a *slimeball*. But yeah, he's an interesting characters.
Do you have a favourite scene? "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!"
Anything else you wanna ramble about? I know a ridiculous amount of little details. Me and my friend used to quiz each other about them a couple years ago, it was fun :D

Have you read any/all the HP books? Yes, a while ago now though, I do remember re-reading them all in a 48 hours period, with only breaks for food, sleep and the toilet!
Do you have a favourite book? Not really, think I'd have to re-read again to figure that one out.
Who are your favourite characters? I think I'm more cliched and tend to like the main characters, Harry, Ron and Hermione
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? Snape
Do you have a favourite scene? It's been too long since I've read them to know the answer to this one.
Anything else you wanna ramble about? Although I read the books as they came out, and again when I had them all, I am still yet to complete watching the films, don't think I've seen the final two yet, and I don't know why, but I've never been in the mood to watch them either. Maybe I'll get around to it when I'm next off work. Also, this has reminded me that I should read more books again, maybe I'll start with this set!

I remember borrowing a friend's book - I think it was the Half-blood Prince(?) and read it all overnight! Returned to her pretty quickly and she was gobsmacked! LOL! There are some books where you can get really get into it and forget about the real world for a while and I love these kind of books. The HP books are deffo one of my favourites!

If I really get into something, I can be there and the time just goes away, it was only because I was living at home and parents reminded me about food and sleep that I did those things!
