Tomorrow Celes goes off to school for the first time since she's entered our care. It's going to be different not having her around so much during the day--although she tended to not stick around during the day this summer, but still. She's all packed and ready, with all of her new supplies and a few new outfits for her. Thankfully, she takes after ( Read more... )

Yeah, bet her a car, but don't make it pink. Get like, silver or something. A pink car is typically owned by a young teenager girl or a young woman who can't fend for herself, and she's more likely to be carjacked or assaulted in a parking lot for a pink car. Red would do fine, though that gets enough trouble too for being such a luxurious color. Silver would probably be best.

But all in all, pink is really a bad color for a car. XD

Pink is a bad colour? I wasn't going for a hot pink or a pastel, but I thought a metallic pink would be okay...I suppose not.

I haven't really had the chance to ever worry about car colours. Trixie was this bloody awful shade of teal, and that was mum's car for the longest time, and now my car was painted black courtesy of whoever refurbishes Twilight Town's old police cars.

If you need help with the nursery, feel free to drag Balthier over to help you. You've seen the job he did with Violet's nursery!

Though what he's going to do with these two I'll never know...

I would most certainly appreciate Balthier's help in moving! He did do a very good job, and I'm rather impressed for someone who was so thick-headed when it came to working with Father.

...
Am I reading this right? You said "these two"?

You know how he is when he sets his mind to something! He gets an idea in his head and doesn't stop until it's finished.

Yeah... Found out yesterday afternoon... to say that we're shocked is putting it lightly

Of course! He's quite stubborn, but on the occasion, such as with Violet's nursery, it pays off.

Shocked? But you should be happy that they're twins, shouldn't you? Granted, it means you need double what you had thought, but twins are a gift. Have you told their grandparents yet?

I have this, a solemn guarantee for you, my friend: When they get to Albanion's age, you'll be glad to see them shipping off to school after the summer. They're very cute when they're young, but when the teen years set in and puberty comes biting in on those heels, you'll be pushing them out of the door in the morning to get some peace ( ... )

I strongly doubt that. Hopefully in six years I'll be in a teaching career, so we'll all have to leave for school together.

Oh? I believe she'll be all right, but I have heard of adopted children lashing out because we're not their "real parents", but...I hope she doesn't do that when she gets older.

One of the problems with the Beetle is that they're two-door. It's very hard to strap little ones in car seats in a two-door, and to get them back out again is a chore as well. I'm considering the Tiguan, as it still seats five and has four doors, and is a tad safer than a Beetle. It comes in this wonderful cherry colour, too, but I think I'll not try to surprise her and let her pick.

From what Ms Fran tells me, you need to be looking at minivan magazines instead. Congratulations, by the way.
