Heh. Yeah, that was me. What can I say, I have a weakness for Brit Brit. :)

Oh, this is so... I mean, it's the perfect tragedy to fit with them. Really well done!

(Couldn't even tell you weren't a native speaker, I thought you just got excited and had to churn it all out. Like a fan fiction machine. But this is a work of art. Alright, I'm going to stop.)

Definately! James McAvoy even said so: "It is a little bit of a mini-tragedy that him and Magneto don't, you know, have sex and become married and become best friends."

Agh, it's such perfect UST. Hope you'll write more when inspired. :)

Oh, oh, the almost-but-not-quite *kills* me. Because, yes, it's impossible they be together, and yet . . . guh. Boys!

I loved the jumble of images in Charles's coma dreams. "Some of the patients are sleepwalking" is such a perfect, telling, eerie line. Wow.

Thank you! :) I was actually going to write an AU version of the beach scene that has Erik stay for a while longer before they drift apart for good, and thinking about the hospital scenes I went like: 'Powerful telepath drugged up and delirious? That's probably not good.'
It's a really cool mutation and all, but, you know: Also creepy as hell if you think about it.

This is so, so lovely and brutal. I clicked on it for the Ani DiFranco title alone and you didn't disappoint! All the bits with the watch are perhaps my favorite, because Erik is trying so hard to control something he has no control over at all.

If you ever need a grammar beta, I would gladly volunteer! I have a lot of coworkers who have English as a second or even a third language and I'm constantly apologizing for the WEIRDNESS of the English language.

Oh, thank you so much! Ani is amazing, and her lyrics are so beautifully complicated, so I thought they'd fit. <3

I'm delighted that you enjoyed the parts with the watch, I was a little afraid I overdid it with the symbolism there, but it was one of the earliest images I had when I started writing - Erik 'stopping the time' on the pocketwatch when he thinks about Charles - and I liked the idea that Charles recognizes in the end that it must be somehow significant, although he has obviously no idea why.

Thank you for the beta-offer, that's fantastic! I'll definitely get back to you if I happen to write another story in the fandom. And given my current infatuation with both movie and pairing, there is a good chance this is going to happen. When seeing the movie, I was all 'Yeah, right, like those new guys can ever be as awesome as Sir Ian McKellen / Sir Patrick Stewart, come on', and then a few minutes into the film it was like: ... wow, I'm already writing fic for this in my head. ;)
