So it looks like I'm driving to New Haven this weekend, to do something I thought I'd never do: go to Ikea

True, but how long would it take you to round up the materials and do it yourself?

There's an IKEA in Stoughton now. Oh dear. This does not bode well for my wallet.

I dunno... until I saw their kitchen stuff I'm not sure I'd ever seen anything from Ikea that I'd want to put in my house. At the very least, I hated all the furniture I saw in their catalog, so...

Yes, to both. But the one in MA is in Stoughton, which is nearly as far away as New Haven for me. Besides, being opening weekend it'll be packed, and I'm tired of not having a dish drainer.

As to mail order... I'd really rather see the thing before I spend money on it. There are a few different designs that look like they'll work, so I'd like to look at them to see if they'll work before I spend money on them.

*grin* I thought so, but I couldn't remember how far you are from New Haven... I have no idea (still) what our actual plans are (I'm coming down with gryphonkin), but if you want to meet for lunch or something I suspect it could be arranged... it'd be neat to see you again!
