A few days ago Matt informed me that he didn't know whether he would have a day off this weekend or not (which would be the 3rd straight week of working for him)...so my solution? Use some of those incentive hours and request a day off! I mean, this man needs to see his baby before he is walking, right? So, because he requested off Friday, he also ( Read more... )

sometimes it does seem as if babies have radar for knowing exactly when their parents are about to have fool around or are really tired and about to fall asleep

i am happy Matt gets a few days off. he sure does deserve them after working straight through two weekends in a row! try to let him get some rest :)

Yea I wish I was so fortunate to have a few days off. I'm having so many problems with 3rd like right now I can't sleep and I have to be up at 3 to go to a doctors appointment and then I have to go to my moms for dinner. I am very thankful that I have a good paying job and all but when does all this overtime become to much. I mean the physical and emotional strain that 4 weeks of no days off does to a person. (Well for me its 4 weeks I volunteered a Sunday a few weeks ago and they've been mandatory ever since.) I also pitty the people who are temps so much because they don't get vacation time like Matt and I we choose to use it they have to tough it out till they decide that we're caught up enough to feel that they can afford to give us a day off. So yes enjoy this time and I want to note as well that I miss seeing baby Carter and hanging out with you and Matt. Hope to see you guys this weekend. Bill

I'm sorry that you got switched to 3rd, Bill...as if all the mandatory overtime weren't enough, you also have the crappiest shift. It sucks, but maybe you can save up money and then find a new job or just wait til you're back on 2nd. I wish Matt found a new job, that's for sure....unfortunately, he seems to want to stick around and I can't make him search for a new job, nor will I try. I'm just waiting it out and hoping things will get better. Come see us when you do get some time off, okay?

Amber said she made her own full-length veil for a fraction of the cost and it turned out beautiful!
