if you want some help finding music, or maybe just making 5 discs for ya, I could, I have like 60 days worth of music.

Awesome! Any way you wanna do it...if you want to lend us cd's, make us a cd, or just make a list of songs...it doesn't matter really, but we would love you for it!

ok, how about this, do you want 104.5 music, 107.9 deliah music, or 96.1 mixed music. Or a combination, I will give ya a list when you let me know what you want, and I can mix the sings like a DJ so that there is never a quiet moment.

I'm thinking NO delilah music...a combination between 104.5 and 96.1...any genre of music from rock to hip hop to oldies to disco, just as long as you can either slow dance or fast dance to it....nothing that is "in between" slow and fast...and really, I already have alot of slow songs, so we don't need as much help there...I hope that gives you an idea.

Really, you don't have to go to all the trouble...although it sure makes it easier for us since we don't have that many cd's or an ipod or anything. So if you are bored and feeling up to it, I would love it if you gave us a hand. Esp. since I know you are such a music lover and have good taste in music. THANKS!

I could lend you my ipod, and you could go through the 3600 songs and listen to them! I have seriously EVERY kind of music.... stuff that you'd like, your parents, AND grand parents...

Dean Martin. oh yes. :)
But seriously, let me know. I'll be in town Mon-Thurs, and I could come over and help you!

or maybe google like "wedding songs" or something?
cheesy, i know, but who knows! It'd probably help a ton.
OR....

you could borrow either Jamie or my ipod, we couldmake you a specific wedding playlist, and then you wouldn't have to burn all the cds. We'd just plug it in to a computer, and make you a playlist, then just plug the ipod into the stereo system at the wedding! It would be really easy to go through my ipod and then any songs you don't have, we could download in like, a day.

I think that'd be the EASIEST way....

tell me what you think! I'd be happy to lend it to you for whichever purpose.:)

Wow, I really appreciate you wanting to help me so much with this...you are so sweet :o)

It would prolly take a long time for me to personally go through your whole ipod, so maybe if you pointed some songs out to me ahead of time for me to listen to? I dunno, I've honestly never used an ipod so I don't know how they work. But if you or Jamie wants to come over and show me some good ones then I would really appreciate it...or if you just wrote down some of the songs you think would be good and let me know...I guess whatever would be more convenient for you. But thanks so much for offering to help!

MICHAEL BUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I completely agree on the Michael Buble. If at all possible try not to play the same old stand-bys (Shout, YMCA, the Cha Cha dance, Taking Care of Business, etc) that people dance to at everything. Most importantly, find a good DJ. I've noticed over the years it isn't always the crowd you have, it's the stuff the DJs play. I've seen shy people run out to the dance floor by good songs being played and seen social butterflies cling to wall due to shitty songs being played. And make really sure they don't play "break up songs" at your wedding. That happened at my friend Katy's wedding and I made a note to never want to hire her for anything.

That's why I am trying to get everyone's input... I don't want people clinging to the wall because of shitty music. And I'm also staying away from the overplayed stuff too, like you said. However, it is hard drawing the line b/w what people will be familiar with and what is completely overdone. I want people to know & recognize the music, but not be like "Oh I'm so sick of this"...you know? It's challenging, that's for sure.

Make sure to have "the old stand by"'s there, however. Just in case.
Reception crowds do funny things.

However you do it, it's going to rock!

Don't worry, I will...not a huge fan of her music or anything, but it's definitely stuff you can dance to, I will admit that.
