Amazing how much your life can change in just a couple of weeks. I'm dating someone I really like, I have the opportunity for an unpaid editorial internship in midtown Manhattan and I'm really happy with where things are going. Blondies
After gaining my freedom at 5pm yesterday, I left work and met my friend for a drink. We walked a few blocks down Market St to the Embarcadero because it was very sunny out and I have been wanting to just sit, drink and watch the Bay Bridge. "Sick" Day
Decided to take the day off today. My friend is staying with me for a couple of days and my apartment is a huge mess, especially my room. Living for the weekends
I've been in a bit of a rut lately so I've spared my blog some whining. I dislike my job. It's boring, monotonous and not challenging at all. I'm thankful to have a job and be able to pay my rent and go out pretty often, but I can't help feeling like there is something better out there for me. Dirty Laundry, Empty Cabinets
My goal for tonight was to get my laundry done and go grocery shopping. I have very little motivation to do either. The time change combined with some difficulty sleeping last night left me tired all day. I was hoping the nasty coffee in my office would wake me up- or some green tea, but nothing seemed to perk me up. I figure the laundry can wait ( Read more... ) -
Almost Friday
While I was on my lunch break today, I started looking at Craigslist and other sites for writing jobs. I know, probably not the best thing to do on my work computer. I didn't see any writing job posts that sounded good/applicable to my skills so I googled literary agents in San Francisco. Backup Plan
I'm thinking I should take Lee's advice about traveling or teaching English abroad. I found out Thursday that I didn't get into UT Austin, my number 1 choice school. I was pretty disappointed- Wisconsin and Syracuse weren't high on my list- but when I didn't get into austin, it somehow became real to me that I may not be going to grad school ( Read more... )
