A bit of Fry and Laurie
Finally got round to reading yesterday's Playlist from the Times and I thought the bit about Hugh Laurie just dropping in was marvellous. -
100 novels
The Torygraph today lists 100 novels everyone should read (here). These lists are always entertaining and arguable but I discover that I've read remarkably few of them so it would seem to be a ready made wishlist. It seems a good plan for the year to try and read the ones I haven't.

The days are just packed ...
My manager read me the riot act today about my working hours - too many as opposed to not enough - and then asked me to do a piece of work which meant she and I both left the office at 8.15 tonight. *grin* She is going to write to the university for me about volume of work so hopefully I'll get my extension on the assignment and not have my mark ( Read more... ) -

1. At the garage out the back of my flat they wash cars. It's very cold here. This means the water on the ground freezes. Wearing tottery high heels and walking on frozen ground is a bad idea and I have the bruises to prove it ( Read more... ) -
There's a hole in my hot water bottle.
And my toes are freezing.
That's it, I'm going to bed. Bloody winter. -
The only living vegetarian in Texas ... or that's how it felt.
There were menus with no, not a one, veggie dish on. Montgomery isn't exactly the big city and it is cattle country but it just seemed a little strange. I earned myself a very strange look for the 'Fajitas, no meat' request :-) -
