Awesome verse by the way. I think that there is a difference between "infantile religion" and denominations that have been forming for centuries. Although both can be frustrating. I think the frustrating part of it is the amount of ignorance involved between them, like assuming that because we may interpret scripture differently, and therefore have different customs, we don't serve God in the same way, or maybe even believe in the same God at all.
I just wanted to give you a little hope on this matter. While an extremely unique kind of community, Gordon has over 60 different denominations represented in it's student body. Everyone worships in the same chapel service...catholics next to baptists and everything! It's really great, because that is exactly how the Kingdom of Heaven is going to be. So while it's frustrating...know that we all have unity to look forward to in Heaven! We just can't always expect that kind of perfection from this world...

ah the story of my life. I always set such high expectations on everything. maybe that's why verses that give me hope seem to be so refreshing...
