Purse/Bag Question

Question for costumers. What kind of purse should I use for an 18th C. dress? I checked The Costumer's Manifesto and discovered that pockets were more popular than purses, but I'm not going to have a heavy camera banging against my leg all day. Any suggestions? I'm looking at you trystbat, since you've been a HUGE help with this costume!
