this is mostly a story about my cat

I keep thinking about posting, but then I get tired from the thought and wander off to do something else. I also keep waiting to be less tired all the time, but so far that hasn't happened. It's annoying, frankly.

On Tuesday I took my twelve-year-old cat* to the vet and learned that she has arthritis in her front shoulders, which is causing her ( Read more... )

Plans to move continue apace, despite the fact that a) I can't afford it, b) I probably won't be able to sell my house, and c) I probably won't be able to find a job when I get there. But hey, that's all details. They have a way of working themselves out.

Yes, they do. And the more you plan the more likely they'll work out the way you want!

I'm sorry Annie is having problems. I remember struggling to medicate one of our cats for months only to discover when I accidently dropped one of the pills that she'd just eat them given a chance. From then on I just rattled the bottle and she came to me. ::headdesk:: Hopefully you and Annie will come to a meeting of the minds, too.

She's just eat them! LOL.

Even my cat who eats anything I had to force anti-flea medicine down her throat.

Reiko would totally come over and explain the advantages of stairs to Annie if we were local.

The Glee fic is lovely and people will read it.

My cat Gordy who takes heart medication can smell it if it is even near her food so I have to shove the pills down her throat everyday. Good times. However, on a morose note, I will not have to much longer as I just called the vets about an hour ago to make an appointment to finally have her put down ::sobs:: It's time, I know it's time, but that doesn't make it any easier. I am taking her on Monday, (Which I totally forgot was my birthday, but I'm still doing it.)

Sadly, the internet is pretty quiet these days too,

I know, right? It was particulary irksome when I needed some easy escape-from-my-life moments over the past week to find nothing new on the internet.

I'm so sorry to hear about you kitty! This is the hardest time for us pet-people, but they depend on us to be brave for them and stop their suffering.

I'll be thinking about you Monday and keeping you in my prayers.

My mom has just moved furniture around for Cassie(she's 15 or around there, still fairly spry and kitten like but showing some signs of her age), so she has like a series of things to jump on to get the main thing she wants to jump on. Do you have a footstool you could put near the bed that Annie might not feel is objectionable to her Cat Pride.

Heh on T.C.

I can totally see Annie sniffing the food with the medication in it and giving you that: Are you kidding me look. What do you think I am, a dog? Hmmph.
