It's been about six weeks since I reduced my cable to the minimum plan and I'm still pretty pleased with my decision. I've got Netflix and Hulu Plus now. There are very few things I can't watch on Hulu Plus or online. Netflix is dangerous though. It is so easy to get sucked in to tv marathons. Someday I won't be grumpy about going to work.  Someday I won't have a headache.  Today isn't the day for those things.

I just went to a new writers group a friend started and had a lot of fun.  It's going to meet again two weeks from tonight at the Panera on Arlington Rd if anyone wants to join us.  We had a five minute writing prompt.  I'm considering posting what I wrote here.  Now I'm going to drink my tea and watch series 2 of Downton Abbey.  Squee!!!!

As I was sitting down to a late dinner tonight I decided to watch a DVD from work.  So I popped in disc 1 of Downton Abbey thinking I would watch until I finished eating and then pause to put sheets on my bed.  The next thing I knew, the credits were rolling and I'm sitting here thinking "That went by so fast!  WHY HAVE I NOT WATCHED THIS SOONER ( Read more... )

You know what's fun to do with a six pound dog on a super windy day?  Take him for a walk!  It is sunny and he hasn't gotten as many walks this week due to my schedule and the weather so we took advantage.  He stumbled a bit at times and got hit in the face with a few leaves but he wanted to go on our longer route so I guess he was okay with it.   ( Read more... )
