Today on the calendar we leave behind the pop songs for awhile in favor of two versions of one of my favorite hymns. It reminds me of being a kid growing up in New England, where they sang the right songs in church and not the stuff they're singing these days. Get off my lawn.

I hear you about the music in church. What's up with that? I'm very traditional (No! Say it ain't so!) and the rock/punk/god help us all, rap in church hurts my very soul. (The Catholics are still pretty traditional...I hang out there with Chloe. I may sing along. Don't judge me.)
