I've taken Cheri's idea to heart :). I emailed two different places this morning and will be calling the library this afternoon, or stopping by later. I was having the end of the cycle meltdown last night...fucking hormones.
I feel your pain. Crying at work last week was a sure sign of hormonal imbalance for me. I'm glad you're taking steps to get out and do something. It's character-building. Or whatever ;)
I would totally come down for your birthday, but I'm flying out to NH on the 23rd. Joseph's and your birthdays are too close together, I guess. I will be with you in spirit! Or, um, something.
Thanks for the thought. I know you aren't going to be around, and I will have just seen you guys anyway. Besides, you have to come down when you get back if you still want one of Donna's cats, so we'll have to talk about that after your school trip.
We will have to iron out details before I leave, then. Donna needs me to take the kitten pretty much as soon as I get back from MN, because she's leaving town, and I'm not sure how long I can keep it safely separated from my two.
I will make you cake. You've only to come to AZ to eat it! (The exercise will totally negate the calories.)
Kids grow up too fast. He's not allowed to be fourteen and TEXTING!! What's next? Driving? Dating? I need to go lay down and he's not even mine! Transference, much?
Oh, I don't mind the lack of cake, honest. I mean, if I wanted a cake I could just make it myself. As it is I'll have just gotten back from vacation, so I will probably be working to re-lose ten pounds of vacation/alcohol weight.
He's had 'girlfriends' for years. YEARS. The girls love him, dorky as he is. Though he's gotten so big in the past six months that I didn't even recognize him at first, which was crazy. He *looks* like a teenager now. He's still annoying, though, so I know it's him.
I never said I don't *miss* cake. Just that I am finally, at long last, resigned to the fact that I don't get to eat it anymore, save on very special occasions.
LOL. I'm just not convinced that Reid leans that way, but Greg/Nick... that was too easy.
I read a lil bit of a Reid/Rossi fic (OMG!), and a lil bit of a Reid-blacks-out-when-he-drinks-any-alcohol-and-proceeds-to-have-sex-with-Rossi-and-Hotchner-and-Morgan-(notallatonce)-but-ultimately-chooses-Morgan fic... that's my experience with Reid!fic
Yeah, see, that right there is the reason I don't fit into the fandom. I am not down with the polyamory. It makes fandom a difficult experience sometimes, which is generally why I stick with the rare pairings.

Never tell a baker that you don't miss cake. It makes them sweat. Not pretty.
