There was actually a woman in my section about 8 rows down wearing a Gonzales jersey, so we were the only two people clapping until about the 8th inning. Then everybody realized they were watching history take place and the place came alive. Everybody was on their feet during the 9th inning, and he got standing ovations at the bottom of the 8th and top of the 9th when he came up to bat.

Some of the Braves were fairly pissy about the way the fans rallied behind Randy, but, okay. How often does a no-hitter -- NEVERMIND a perfect game -- happen? Okay, right. Like, never. So they can just get over the fact that they lost and suck it up and realize while it sucks that they lost, they were a part of history and that is way cool.

My novel is over. Randy is the man.
