The kicker is, the unit is still under their one year warranty, so I could totally ask them for an exchange unit. Problem is nowadays they generally want you to ship the unit to them, etc... and its cheaper to just buy the antenna (a whopping $2 shipped).
That's pretty lame of them. I did get the run around once when I got my first DSL modem and it wasn't connecting. This was with Earthlink (my old ISP). After 3 separate calls (each time being placed on hold for at least 20 minutes or more), I finally found a tech service dude who knew what he was talking about (instead of just reading from a script). My experience is the bigger the company, the worse the technical support.
