This. Is just beautiful! So raw and at the same time so deftly crafted! I did not see the "I love you, too" coming and it felt like a punch in the gut and an epiphany at the same time. YES! This is how it has to happen!
Loved the "Like hell it isn't" knockdown-mirror.
And, thanks to your version, for the first time I actually GOT why she might REALLY not be ready for a relationship with him. For the first time it isn't just a lame writers' plot but makes intratextual sense
