I do agree. What was the point of the car in the Hudson and Beckett nearly dying again, IF IT IS NOT GOING TO BE REFERENCED EVER. That was an obvious connection to make. Show did not make it.

Something like this was needed. It just was. Thanks for writing it.

Thanks for posting this! I love the way you piece the moments of the show together and fill in the blanks. I was really unsatisfied with the way the episode did this- after my first viewing I wasn't even sure how they got out. It was really, really random. But your fic fits in seamlessly and is so true to character. :) Good job!

YES! I'm on the bandwagon with this one. What WAS the point in showing her lose conciousness, and Castle shooting out the seatbelt and all? Really. WE NEEDED SOMETHING.

And this was it. It helped fill that void. Great one!!!

Thank you so much for this - I may have to adopt your prespective as personal canon. If only the show could do such an articulate job of converying teh changes we've seen in their relationship in the aftermath of the shooting!

Thank you! I really only set out to write myself some conciliatory if-it-wasn't-on-the-tv-at-least-we-can-read-it CPR fic, but apparently my brain had some serious other ideas and wanted to try and go explain things.

Haha, I am glad this wasn't horribly weird/boring/confusing even if you hadn't seen the ep! I am sorry it broke your heart though.
