I finally gave him (my kidney donor) a hug without nearly being reduced to tears. I'm returning to seeing him as Jamie, the lovable goofy lug who looked in my eyes two years ago and said, "I couldn't imagine the concept of a world without Cary."

It only took me two damn years.

Hey, Cary! Nice to hear from you! You've been scarce around here. I feel like I've missed much of your story. I remember a long while back it looked like your body was rejecting your new kidney. Then, much later, you popped in and it sounded like you were okay. And now it sounds even more so. Were you able to keep that first kidney, or did you have to get another one? Have you been laid out and ill through all this, or doing well? I want to hear about your life!
