Hearing this puts my faith back in the decency of the commmon man. That somebody cared enough to pick your dog up and to look for the owner.

Exactly, i always feel bad when I figure no one will do anything and then some random stranger commits an act of kindness, maybe I should have a little more faith in the world?

Aw, that's so brilliant! I'm really happy for you. I've actually been really worried the last few days thinking about it. I'm so glad such a nice person found him.

Me too! I am still worried that we don't know how he got out, but he does not appear to have made any further attempts. If we leave for a while though, e will ave to go in his crate until we can figure it out. *sigh* Thanks for your well-wishes, I appreciate it!
