So I haven't had a chance to really post yet, but I wanted to say City of Fallen Angels is now out - with a pub date of April 7th in the UK it should be out everywhere - and thanks so much to everyone who's emailed and tweeted and facebooked me with their thoughts. I've been on tour and met a bunch of wonderful fans (best T-shirt so far, explicable ( Read more... )

City of Fallen Angels hasn't come out in New Zealand yet though. Do we get it the same time as the UK?

Church and Chairman Meow ext_493211 April 7 2011, 08:55:01 UTC
Hi Cassie, just wondering, who took care of Chairman Meow when Magnus was on holiday with Alec? And where was Church? We kind of missed him in the Institute.
Will we ever get to know why Church is immortal and why he's no longer in London?
Loved the book!

True, but it's weird that a cat emigrated out of it's original country lol.

I retract this statement after reading the book. It makes a little more sense now that we know that Jace is a descendent of Will. And who's to say that this cat is the same cat?

Wow- I seriously adored CoFA- with each book I love these characters more, and I love seeing new sides to them. I love the different dynamics we saw with Jace and Clary's relationship, and the increased focus on Simon, and seeing more of Isabella, Maia and new characters like Jordon. Really starting to love the relationship between Isabelle and Simon, they had some really great thought-provoking conversations, and I love that we still see them caring about each other no matter what the status of their relationship is. I do hope we'll see more Alec and Magnus in the next book, though I love how you realistically addressed the problems they face. I loved "We hope".
That was an amazing cliffhanger- and I'm wondering if poor Jace will be in thrall with Sebastian in the next book, or if he'll be able to break free. and I'm wondering if Luke and Jocelyn will be able to actually get married anytime soon- what will all this crazy drama.

Fantastic book!
I'm a little curious, I believe I read somewhere that you cried whilst writing one of the scenes in COFA, which was it?
Sorry if it's a silly question!

Yet another beautifully written book!!! I devoured it in 24 hours! I never felt attached to Simon before and this book added so much more depth and emotion to his character as well as Isabelle. I feel like all the characters are growing. I LOVE Jace and Clary and felt extremely happy/heartbroken throughout the entire book. The love story that you have created for them is completely EPIC. Cassandra-please keep up the good work and know that your fans will be waiting (not so patiently) for next year to come and City of Lost Souls!
