Aks Jeeves...

Weekend has rolled around! and somehow it's not all that I expected it to be, even though I did wake up, realise it's 7:30 and then proceed to think that I have to - a. turn my alarm off, and then b. haul my lazy ass to work - it was a nice surprise to then realise that I didn't have to get up and go to work ( Read more... )

travelling; you either want it or you don't, and I'm glad you want it.
"get a different view of the world I think", for me it made the world ALOT SMALLER!

cassini, you need to stop thinking! (Only-childs thing I swear). It frees your mind and lets you float a bit more <3

Hmm, you raise an interesting point - although, does that mean you're also like that? I don't always think a lot, just when I'm going through things, and I sometimes end up going through the motions too much. I guess thinking per se isn't a bad thing as far as I'm concerned... The world is a terribly small place. TOO small I say.

I used to think alot. TOO much. mostly about 'my place in the world' and it was very emotional, kind of presented in your next post. I blame it on the one-child childhood! Your time was un-interrupted and you spent time with adults so I guess you get conditioned to thinking like an adult, really early on. Then your friends catch up to you but your adult thoughts are old, compared to theirs and it gets very frustrating cos you're 23 and they're 23, but your mind's really at 30, 40, 50, 80? hah

That's my analysis. I spent 6 months in psychotherapy trying to work that shit out!!

I know you don't think all the time, but don't get down on yourself because it's crap that happens to everyone. It's about arranging your priorities and mental training and making decisions and sticking to them!! God, now I am really feeling old!

Totally. I guess I find it hard to deal when I get frustrated, but I enjoy it in this totally strange masochistic way, in that it's challenging. What you said about priorities and such is how I feel. I agree with pretty much everything you said here actually... How old does that make me!?

haha I think I agree with the masochistic comment!
Like, it's annoying and painful, but at the same time, you know that when you come out of it, you're wiser! hmmm, ponders.
