I am still here! The ghostness makes me sad as well, but then most of the time I can't force myself to post either, when no one seems to be listening and life isn't particularly eventful. New TV-wise I'm mostly watching Person of Interest (which hits my particular narrative buttons in a really flawness way but I'm never sure if it'll do the same for other people), Downton Abbey (ashamedly), and Doctor Who (increasingly resentfully, because misogyny), plus I really need to catch up with Masters of Sex.

Good luck with your move! The other thing I've been watching a lot of is property shows of this variety, so I definitely have house-envy.

Yeah, I've never been amazing at posting more, so I can't talk, but some of my regular communities are dwindling and it just sucks. I don't know where to go for good discussion anymore, I guess.

I haven't gotten around to DW yet, mostly b/c of the misogyny you mention, and just the writing in general. Gave up Downton a season ago, but I might catch back up for shits and giggles if I have the time.

Ha, I hadn't seen that sketch! I really have to avoid those shows, b/c it just makes me want a house of my own. I'm hoping renting one might help with that while I save up for a down payment. The market here is just crazy anyway.

It feels like everyone is on Tumblr now and I do like all the pretty pictures, but it's an appallingly bad place to keep track of a discussion :(

To be fair, last night's DW episode ("Kill the Moon") didn't make me swear as much as usual, though that's a very low bar to clear. Downton, meanwhile, is a complete train wreck these days and I just can't look away (the extremely significant pigs! Edith's illegitimate baaaaaby!).

I'm so very desperate to buy somewhere and do it up nicely and not worry about renting with a cat, but since I don't even know in which country I'll be living in a few months' time and if my deposit-savings will need to become emergency-unemployment-savings, it's completely impossible at the moment. *lives vicariously through Location, Location, Location*

I have that same desperation! I thought I'd be happy to rent for ages, but now I'm starting to have those nesting wishes and wanting a little cottage somewhere to do with what I will. I hope we both manage in the near future!

HARDWOOD FLOORS!!!! Yay!

I like Forever - I wouldn't say I'm thrilled with it, but it's entertaining and I hope it develops well. I'd be interested in hearing what you think of Selfie - as you say, the stars look great but the ads for the show don't look so hot.

I do miss the days when LJ was more active!!!! "Ghost town" is a great term for it.

I am SO EXCITED about the floors, I really can't say how much. They are old and creaky but I am going to adore them.

I still haven't managed to watch anything, so nothing to report yet. I think all my enthusiasm for new shows got sucked up by other things lately or something.

I'm going to miss LJ when it finally goes. Where else can I see people with happy Barney Miller icons?

As for my TV viewing; Once Upon a Time, Blacklist, Sleepy Hollow, Agents of SHIELD, Forever, Arrow( when it starts back this week), probably will check out The Flash, Bones, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?
