Summer tv indulgence
Is anyone else watching Blood Drive on Syfy? This is so not my usual type of show - I've never been a fan of grindhouse/exploitation stuff or anything like that - but I tuned in for Colin Cunningham and ended up really impressed by the quality of what they're doing. Chainmaille stuff
As promised, here are some of the chainmaille projects I've been doing lately (click for larger pics). So far I'm sticking with bracelets, as they go faster and are a good way to learn weaves without getting bored. Home from con, with the usual case of post-con blues. Had a great time as usual, though, with the added bonus that this year I don't have to return home to a place I hate (though it is a place where Karl Urban doesn't continually show up, more's the pity).

New kitty!
For Christmas this year, I brought home a new cat! It was time, and this rescue sort of fell into my lap right when I was ready to start looking. She's really sweet and cuddly, but also still a bit hyper, so we're still in that learning phase. I heart Festivids.
This year's fandom list for Festivids makes me SO EXCITED I CAN'T EVEN. If even a fraction of them get made, I will be a very happy vid watcher.
