CASY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I miss you. It's so not the same without you being around.
I'm so sorry you're not feeling like things are going your way. I'm sure you must miss your family immensely. Is your hubby going to get to come visit you anytime soon?
Take care of your hand. Don't mess with infections like that. If you have to miss class, you have to miss. Get someone to audio record it if possible.
Oh, and I love that mood theme. It's such a great scene with Andrew.
Oh and don't worry... if there is anything you are not, it's stupid. You're actually quite brilliant. You're about to be published... from writing fanfiction... how many of us can say that???? It'll be done before you know it. Just hang in there. *hugs*
Awww, thanks. You made me feel better already. :) *hugs back* Seriously, I feel none too bright. Funny thing though, we have to do a paper together (all 13 of us) and I'm the editor, LOL.
I think we're going to save money for the move, so I don't think hubby is coming. I might know where we're going next week.
Yeah, my mom was pretty insistent I get a doctor. She wanted me to go to ER tonight, but that isn't happening. I guess the red streaks thing is a Very Bad Sign. I'm going to bed early tonight, that's for sure. I'm worn out.
You're welcome, and LOL! That's not totally ironic or anything. Hahahahaha
Aww, be sure and let us know. I'm so sad you won't still be in Texas. :-( You guys still thinking about swinging by Galveston? We still need to have tea. LOL
Um... Yeah, watch out if it hardens and/or turns white. That's really bad, like severe staff or something. Just get it looked at ASAP. Like tomorrow morning.
Really do miss you tons. It's been so quiet. We had a mini comment porn party over on Conbykink. I posted the intro that I've been working on for AGES to my new Temple Dungeon fic. Cat, E, and D_1 all posted some lovely bits of stuff as well. We even got a couple of appearances of leather!trousers!Connor. LOL! Very nice work all around.
LJ is THE place to come and get your rant on. We're all here to listen. Afterall, I just my big office politics rant last week.
Are you having a sort of little fish in a big pond feeling? That's where I am, for sure. Plus you're out of your comfort zone without your family there to welcome you home at the end of the night - or kitties. Kitties are vital.
I'm pretty rotten at social situations, but I just fake it as best I can and sometimes it works out.
At any rate, you ARE an amazing woman and I'm constantly impressed by you and all that you juggle. You have two very very tough jobs (Mom and soldier) and you still manage to write superlative prose.
You're in a bubble right now, but once you're out of it, you'll feel like yourself again.
Yes, exactly. I'm a minnow. I am not at my best without my center, ie. hubby, kid and cats. At least we video chat about once a week. I want my bubble POPPED!
I often fake the social thing. No one believes me when I tell them I'm shy. I think that's hilarious.
And thank you, I feel like I'm dropping balls rather than juggling them right now, though. You all's support means a lot to me. Thanks and *hugs* back.
I wish I could send you your own personal EyePatchConnor (or Hatter, or just Connor even).
How much longer till you come home?
Ficcy preview?
Eye Patch snarled and gave Connor a shove. His back hit the wall with enormous force that left him gasping for breath. Eye Patch pinned him with his forearm across his throat. Connor struggled but the other man was considerably stronger. Eye Patch's face was mere inches from Connor's, their bodies pressed hard against each other. "Stop and think. Awesome preview! My, this one looks GOOD. I graduate on the 26th, so halfway there. Funny that I have a Canadian in my class, talk about a unique perspective. He made an "only in America" comment today when the instructor showed a video clip of a 10 yr old girl assembling an automatic rifle to illustrate a point. One of the instructors on staff is Canadian, but he sounds like Celene Dion. Very Quebec.
Awww *hugs* Moving out of your comfort zone can't be easy, especially when your usual support networks aren't as close by as you'd like. The hand thing probably wouldn't have been an issue if you'd been home - you'd have gone to your doc without question... Take care of you! We'll all be here when you're back up and running and we're missing you

Went searching the comms for any up-dates from you last night. Now we know why you have been quiet.
Hang in there, it will all be worth it in the end.
Hope you are feeling better and look forward to your stories.

PS - what is this "can't ever tell if somebody likes me or tolerates me"? There are not many people who can say that they have friends from all over the world, and from what I read in all the comment links - you have many :)

Thanks very much, the encouragement is appreciated. :) I'm over my grump... mostly. Hope to get some time to fic soon; this curriculum is wearing me out, I hardly have time to breathe.
Oh, yes, I do have many lovely friends online, but it's the person to person social interactions I struggle with. I fake it well, I think. Mostly. Usually.

Would love to swing by Galveston, but unsure of anything at the moment. *sigh* Would be cool if I moved to Pensacola, Florida, though.
