It was very crunchy (I ate it whole). Other than that, it didn't have much taste. In the parlance of our times, I suppose you would say it "tasted like chicken."

how was it prepared? did you eat it uncooked ?any condiments? any side dish? or was it swallowed whole?

I ate it raw, "au naturale." It was a bite by bite process, so it took a while, but I never once lost my appetite for more of the infant flesh.
