my boss is insisting that the H1N1 --which , if it isn't going to be called 'swine flu', needs a more concise moniker... let's see; how about PLAGUE-- is a media hoax ( Read more... )

probiotics; specifically the type that have an enteric coating to assure delivery. they cost about $20 bucks. A healthy gut bacteria population is the basis for a strong immune system.

i am making both kids take them & i start tomorrow (after i finish my tooth antibioics)

since the info i've been getting is that some strains of this H1N1 are resistant to tamiflu-- i think the best defense is a good offense.

now i feel like doing the be aggressive cheer.

stay well. *hug*

good to know - thanks for sharing.

not so worried about myself right now, but worried about my mom because she is having surgery today, knowing that will weaken her system considerably. i may put together a package of stuff for her to take...

*hugs*

The most famous and interesting story of healing coming out of the great Black Death plague was the story of the four thieves and their amazing concoction that came to be known as The Vinegar of the Four Thieves. History records that the four thieves were arrested for stealing from the homes of the many dead victims. After their arrest, they were taken from prison and forced to bury the dead with the promise that if they lived, they would go free. One of the thieves was an herbalist, whose herbal wine vinegar purportedly kept the four thieves alive all during the Black Death. As their resistance to the disease became obvious, others started using their vinegar tincture-reportedly with great success. They lived to credit the vinegar potion for their survival ( ... )

i'm not dating vinegar.

yeah--i hear you--pennyroyal oil & crushed marigolds are a good flea deterent, too.

but the flu isn't transmitted by fleas. it's transmitted by tacos. that's why everyone in mexico got sick. XP
go get some probiotics--c'mon--when am i wrong about stuff like this? get at least 7 strain enteric coated probiotics. go!
be well--stay healthy & don't freak out.

don't panic.

ok... try this one on...

I have a low immune system post stage 4B Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I currently ingest Sulfasalazine for a autoimmune disease called Reiter's Syndrome- I believe that it's immunosupressant. Conjointly, I also take Zithromycin pediatric dosage for stomach motility and Cefuroxime (broad-spectrum 2nd generation) for resistant UTI's.

Pro-biotics have no chance.

Suggestions??

take the probiotics ANYWAY. who knows--maybe you'll develop drug-resistant beneficial bacteria--and holy fuck wouldn't that be fantastic!

we'll just have to construct a big plastic bubble for you to go around in. that way the virus can't get to you.
