it really was! I feel like I've had a huge boost of confidence and belief in myself and people in general. The best part I'm seeing now is, that I finally have a real core of like and respect for who I am..from this centre, other decisions, setting boundaries, starts becoming MUCH easier..

If you ever feel like a return-visit to Avebury, just say "Meep".

you're not normally, but they open it for the solstice days because of the druid religion, or something. I think it's more people were going there anyway on the solstice and they thought it would be better to allow it in a controlled fashion. Normally it's more of a historic relic you can only get about 10 feet away from, you have to stick to the path and stay behind a fence. This is partly why I found it so great to get inside it! :)

What a great time! I was at a winter solstice celebration here in NZ on the same day; reversal of the seasons and all that! I'll be posting about it in my LJ when I get around to it. One lady gave a shout out to all the druids at stonehenge too :]

why don't you come next year? I might go to the winter one as well, apparently it is quite different.
