After 18 years, my husband and I decided our children are old enough, we can afford for me to take the time off work, I would go back to college. Butler County Community College in Kansas had a decent accounting program and I have been in the field for all this time unofficially anyway, so I would try to get my degree finally.

depression sucks.
I hate the holidays normally anyway. My husband is so burned out on them that it falls to me to try to make sure the days are good for the kids. Otherwise, he would be perfectly happy never decorating at all, though he would still get the kids gifts at least. So as a result of all the badness that has happenned in this past year, (with dads murder, and my injured arm... stupid cows) when Cory and I found ourselves in a situation where I could not find a job, I decided to go back to college to get a degree in what I was already trained to do. I was doing ok today. I did ok when I watched him breath his last breath peacefully before dawn. I did ok when I called family. I did take a nap, but that was because I was up all night sitting by his bedside. I spent time killing stuff on the xbox tonight, but again, it was ok. Minorly happy news
My mother is moving out into my grandmas home in a couple weeks. This is a major plus as it means my craft room, where her stuff is stored, will be free to be a craft room again. Yay ( Read more... )
