I guess it's time to let the world know what's going on.  The boyfriend has been gone about 3 weeks now, and we won't see him until October at best.  But he did pull into port on the isle of Crete, and I got a few phone calls.  The first week he was gone sucked a lot, but I've gotten over the hump and just get on with life now.

I am still alive.  Brian is still not deployed.  I was kicked out of the last place I lived rather abruptly because my roommate/landlord needed to give my room away to a family member.  I'm not sure if she ever showed up or whether I truly believe the story, but I found a new place and moved in the day before Easter.  It's $125 less a month than I ( Read more... )

Found out today that the last post is inaccurate.  My temp contract runs out tomorrow.  I have to accept or decline the position by noon tomorrow, then not show up Thursday or Friday because Cox won't pay for me.  I probably will sign, but hesitantly.  It's nice to have a security net.  Then I'll see what happens with my resume externally and go ( Read more... )

I got a job with Cox Media.  I'm gonna be an Advertising Sales Assistant.  I'm not really sure what exactly that means, but it sounded good in the interview.  I'm apparently too expensive to buy out from my temp agency, so I've got 4 more weeks of temping before I go to new employee orientation and learn about health insurance and getting free ( Read more... )
