My paycheck comes out every Friday, and it's not too far out of my way to pick it up on the way to work (I'm paid through the temp agency). So on Friday, I was rolling into the parking lot to pick up my paycheck, already in a good mood of course since Friday = money. On the radio, the DJ's start asking this trivia question. Another update on my job search (meaning, yes, still no offers).
Two temp agencies like me, I got my birth certificate so I'm good to go with any job now. As for other interviews, hopefully the Capital Group will continue their pursuit (did one phone-screening already), and the Ronald McDonald House is interviewing me next Monday for their House ( Read more... ) -

Still unemployed. Nexus did not come through, even after stringing me along like that (which, honestly, was costing them more than it was me). They probably weren't planning on telling me I didn't get it, but I called. No answer, waited an hour, called again. Left a message when I decided they weren't actually going to answer. i now have a three-month gap in employment. yikes.
I'm still in Virginia, still entry-level career-less. I've interviewed with five people at Nexus Direct, and I'm starting to get frustrated with it all. Hopefully I'll know about that one soon, so I can start making money in other ways if it's just not to be. It really is for lovers. Brian came back unexpectedly for a day when his boat broke or something. We had an awesome time, and he brought me flowers. Then it was back out to sea for the USS Albany.

I'm leaving for Virginia tomorrow, with every piece of nice clothing I own in tow. And my DVD's of Gilmore Girls. I'll need those.
I can temp for a bit, look for real jobs, and well, I don't know. I don't really have a plan but I'm an adventurous sort. But the worst part is that Brian won't even be there :( -
