Boating
Today was a boat day. We had the most gorgeous weather. Lake Michigan was almost completely still and the water was incredibly clear. Dark, inky blues in the deepest parts to clear, bright turquoise waters when the lake was shallower. Now, considering how Lake Michigan usually is, having a clam day like this is almost unheard of. The Up North
The first two days Up North have been great. Yesterday after arriving up here - after introductions and such social niceties - I immediately went out to the hammock. Perfection
I think that one of summer's greatest pleasures for me is sitting back and listening to the cicadas sing and the hum of the lawnmower while a cool breeze brings in the scent of freshly cut grass. It's a good life when that happens for me. I find it calming and particularly and pleasantly summer.

Well it's been a long week so far and it's not quite over with yet. Worked a lot of double shifts this week so I was exhausted Thursday evening. I fell asleep without even knowing it! Sheesh. My sleep schedule has been really whacked out lately. After staying up until 5am on Thursday (Friday morning), I then stayed up until about 4am the next night/morning, watching a bunch of movies with my brother and his two friends Zach and Kevin. Phew! Well, it's after 3am and I'm just heading in to bed. I found a new friend on Xbox Live and I was hanging out with him and his friend playing Rockband all night. It was fun! This week I've been watching E3 2008. It's just a great summer, not only for movies, but also for video games! Horray! Normality
*sigh* There is this one girl at work, and she just is so completely amusing in her own sad way. She simply shares far too much of her life. I've only been working with this girl for a few months and I feel like I know everything about her life situation. It's always some kind of complaint or worry or something. The best part of my day today was by far my hair cut. I love getting my hair cut and styled because the salon I go to gives you a scalp massage when they wash your hair.
