Are you required by the breeder contract to have her kennel name in the AKC name? A number of breeder friends, including the folks I got my mal from and the guy my bro got his beagle from required it. We ended up naming her different based on how the papered name worked out with the kennel name. (Lost Horizon's Moonshine Princess)
Gotcha. I think I'm having a hard time without knowing the personality of the dog. When I read that breeder name, the name "Sheldonrae's Whole Lotta Shakin" jumped up in my mind, but, I don't know what you'd actually call the dog? Shakin? Lotta? You sure don't want to call it Hole LOL
What I know about the pup's personality: He's very playful and mischievous. He's a lover, really enjoying snuggling and giving little "kisses" to everyone. He's adventurous, often going off away from his family to check stuff out. As an adult, he's likely to be a bit of a clown, very trainable, very charming.
I generally prefer to meet the critter in question first before picking out a name. Will you be able to spend any time with The New Pooch before those forms need to be filled out?
It isn't really about the forms, first of all. This pup is already 10 weeks old. We should be giving him his name already so the breeder and her family can call him by it for the next 2 weeks till we come and get him.
We won't get to meet him before we pick him up for two reasons: I'm going to Mexico on Sat and we just can't do it before then. The second reason is that the breeder is over 2 hours away.

OTOH, there is something about "Layne" aka "Alice in Chains" that amuses me.
