Today Gracie and i were out on the porch hanging out. Gracie hopped on her little toy bus and started riding it toward the edge of the porch -- and down the steps. I stopped her just as she got to the edge. I turned her 90 degrees to the left and said, "Ride this way. Stay away from the steps." She turned the bus back around and headed to the steps. (You see where this is going.) I turned her 90 degrees again and repeated the order. She turned the bus back around and headed for the steps again. I told her that if she rode the bus toward the steps again, i'd take it away.
She did; i did.
After ten minutes of ignoring her tantrum, which included flailing and screaming and sobbing in the hallway, i turned to Melissa, rolled my eyes, and moaned, "Gawd, she's actin like a damn two year old."
