In times of sorrow, sometimes it seems hard that we are mainly left to hope and pray that good will come again. You feel useless and angry, but fighting is never a solution.

I met Stephie at Download, and she is a wonderful person, capable of lighting any darkness with her enthusiasm and smiles. If I can do anything to help, please let me know.

reckon you could look in on kay sometime? she left vic lane today, but i get the feeling somethin's night right. she seems off to me. i been doin' what i can, but if she's gone, seems to me my help's not gonna be what she needs at the minute.

ain't exactly what you were askin' to help with, i know, but i know how much you love kay, too. figured you were the right person to talk to.

The suspicious part of my mind is leaping up and asking you what you've done in an accusing tone, but I'll ignore it. I'll do what I can. If she's gone, she'll have her reasons, though I probably won't understand them.

Stephie is such a beautiful girl. I wish I could do more than just hunt her usual haunts on my board. But to sit and do nothing would just drive me insane. Even if I know I'm not gonna find her.

I'm sorry you're feeling down, Carla :( Stuff really seems to have gone downhill since Download. We should have all just stayed there. Stephie's a sweetheart, this shouldn't be happening.

We could bring the houseboat for winter, when the fields get all flooded. I'm sure we could fit all the people we actually care about onboard. The rest could just... swim.
