Just a practical type question - are you acutally the baby's father? Becuase your name on the certificate means that if something happens (and hey - I hope it doesn't) but if it does she gets child support. And becuase you're in the military that comes right out of your pay before you ever even see it.
Then again, I think you'll also qualify for BAH becuase you'll have a dependant. But a few years of that may not equal 18 years of support.
Just a thought! Of course if you get married I wouldn't worry about any of that! :)

Hes doing well right now - hes back home from JROTC and getting geared up to go to Iraq. Its funny - the difference between guys and girls. I get worried when I see the news, he can't wait to be out in the middle of it all.
I'm just trying to make arrangements for where I'm going to be during that year - its such a long time.
And hey - any insights I can offer I'll be glad to. Sadly we've been in long enough to see everyone get happily married - then have them divorce a year later, so I'm learning a lot from hearing the guys/girls stories through the grapevine. Luckily none of that is coming close to affecting our home though. :)
Hope to catch up with you some more later!
