Accidentally burning the office down because I forgot about the five pounds of sweet potatoes I was somewhat illicitly baking in the office oven would probably not have been the best way to ring in the end of my third full week here, so it's a really good thing I wasn't in any danger of any of that.

Nothing terrible actually happened! I just lost track of the sweet potatoes I was baking. For like . . . half an hour. Everything was totally fine; it just would have been damned stupid if something bad had happened because I was baking sweet potatoes in the middle of the work day.

I was really rather impressed with myself. The recipe I was making turned out totally delicious though so I figure all is well.
