Common typing errors

Mar 12, 2007 19:08

Does anyone else have specific typing errors that they make all the time?  I always hit the semi-colon when I want a comma.  All the goddamn time.  It's seriously annoying.  ( And, yes, I did it in that last sentence the first time around.)  I also mix-up "W" and "T" a lot, which makes almost no sense.

Anyone?

If I start typing very quickly my Shift key usage gets slightly out of synch. So you start getting the first work of sentences and proper names with the first letter lowercase and the second letter upper case.

teh for the is a common one, and with my new laptop, the keys aren't as responsive as my old one, so every 5th letter or so, it doesn't catch the keystroke, so I'm constantly either spelling things with one letter missing, or else I'm backspacing to edit. My old computer was definitely OLD and a piece of crap, and in fact, broke completely about a month after Bob restored it and gave it to Mark, but it did have a decent keyboard.

PS: I was keeping track in this post: I had to go back to fix mixing letters 9 times.

At work, I sign most of my emails with "Thanks" and about 60% of the time, I write "Thansk" the first time. Also, a woman in my office is named Kathy and I mistype "Kathu" about every third time. Another favorite of mine is "Hey theryl" when I mean to say "Hey there" and my brain, after typing h-e-r in sucession, just finishes my name. ;)
