After a slow start on Saturday, I picked up some speed on today (well, yesterday technically, now that it is 1:00 in the morning). I haven't caught up yet to where I am supposed to be, but I am gaining. Fire up them jet-packs!

Just be glad you've got those jet packs to fire up. If I try to write at 1 am, I mostly just say "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!" Let me know today when you want to get together to exchange Nano favors for tomorrow evening's write-in.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I was mostly saying "ZZZZZZZ", which is why I had to call it a night.

No lj-cut in comments? cavehop November 7 2005, 16:41:01 UTC
That whole diatribe in the middle was supposed to be sandwiched in an lj-cut, so that it would only show up if you really wanted to look at it. Sorry.

And oops on the bold around the was too, I see. It's so easy to make mistakes when some sites use square brackets (NaNoWriMo) and others (LiveJournal) use angle brackets for their markup...

There's a segment from Strunk & White, ELEMENTS OF STYLE, in your Nano PDA, but I don't know if that snippet analyses quotation punctuation. It does seem strange, but I would advise conformity for the sake of publication later. Don't want to look like you're ignorant on such fine points of grammer, etc.

We have four large ziplocks of Nano handouts and goodies ready for you to take with you tomorrow evening. Many thanks. We will be headed that way this evening, probably around 6ish, but may be late meeting the Malones. We usually finish up at about 8 or so. Hope that won't be too late after your grueling night/morning spent grinding out Nanowords. I'll call you on your cell to give you a heads-up (and for instructions if we get lost finding our way back over to your place).
