Afraid so. I got a decent severance package which I am hopeful will last until I find something else. My income is going to take a hit though. No real way around that.

Doing ok really. But after 18 years of pretty much non-stop employment, I don't know what to do with myself.

They're done. You, KS, and JP from your department - eight total in the office. MUCH more in other offices (not sure how it works out percentage-wise, of course).

They swear up and down it's purely financial and I believe it. They also say that The Company hasn't been (directly) effected by the recession itself too, so...
